427 Stroker on Nitrous

This is a 675 horsepower 427 stroker engine,fitted with a Victor intake and Dominator carb, and a 125 HP plate type nitrous system. As seen on the 428 Cobra Jet engine, when the nitrous hits there is a big jump in torque, and then the engine's power output settles down to a 100-125 horsepower increase over the naturally aspirated power level. The block on this engine is a .060" over factory 427 block, with some non-thrust wall thickness of less than .100", so we decided it was wise to not push towards a higher shot of nitrous. But with an aftermarket FE block, a nitrous shot of 250-500 horsepower could be tolerated, resulting in an engine capable of over 1000 horsepower.
